Family Sprinter Van Roadtrip- Days 4-5 heading to Minnesota!

In November 2022, we bought a 2008 sprinter van and set out to make it worthy of a month long family road trip across the US, which we completed in June of '23....here is how it went!

After Hocking Hills, we came back home to Brighton, MI to get more things done on Ellie, to ensure we had a more enjoyable trip. We installed the FRP (shower walls), Toilet and Blackwater tank, and Fridge/Freezer. We were super thankful to have a functioning toilet, especially when driving through The Badlands, and our 3 year old son had to go potty with no rest stop in sight for miles!

June 8th we left for Minnesota- making a stop in Illinois to pickup a cargo carrier and stop for the night. We arrived to a Walmart along our route to pick up a few things before they closed and park their for the night. I'm sure you're wondering how was it sleeping in a Sprinter Van? It was quite peaceful due to the humming of our fan and the nearby 18 wheelers running their generators! The next morning we woke up, ate breakfast in the Sprinter and hit the road to finish the trek to Lino Lakes, MN. June 9th we arrived at Uncle Dan's and cousin Nate's house around 6:30pm just in time for dinner!!!
