On our way home to Michigan from SC, we always try to find at least 1 new place to visit or hike. This trip brought us to Triple Falls in Caryville, TN. The weather was perfect, not to hot and lots of shade to help keep you cool especially in July! The hike is an easy one. Perfect for new hikers or families who want to get out and explore. On the path it was fairly quiet, we maybe passed a total of 10 people and one really cute dog all of which who had that lovely southern hospitality. The waterfalls did not disappoint! Even though this place was off the beaten path it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! :)

While on our hike we saw this beautiful Apheloria Millipede. Be careful not to touch it as the toxic compounds it secretes is poisonous. It was very fascinating to watch as it was walking. After our fun hike it was time for a rest! If you need a campground to stay at, Coal Creek Campground is a very nice place to stay in Rocky Top, TN!! That's 13 minutes away from Triple Falls!!! The campground has full hookups. Dennis is the owner and he's incredibly kind, and welcomes everyone! We loved that the campground had a nice playground for kids! 10/10 we recommend this place, it's quiet, the owner is so kind and welcomes everyone- the southern hospitality was very present here! We loved it!!!
