Family Sprinter Van Roadtrip- Day 16- Sacramento to meet my Breastie Heather!

Tuesday June 20th we left the rest area in Oregon and headed to Sacramento, California to meet up with one of my breasties named Heather! On the way there we noticed how golden the grass was...We've heard that Californians are proud of their golden hills, can anyone confirm this?!?

If anyone knows how David and I met, it was on the internet. This story is similar in that my breastie Heather and I met on a support group regarding BRCA+, We luckily or unluckily have this bond between us. I posted a few years ago a picture of my new shirt that Lauren Barker (hubby's cousin) made for me saying, "Hakuna MaTaTa's, It means no worries for the rest of your days!" Heather commented I LOVE THIS!!!! How do I get one? I had her message me, then me and Heather had several others want a shirt so we kept Lauren Barker in business for a bit with all the shirt orders! Immediately I thought wow, Heather is amazing!! I would love to meet her at some point! Finally, when David told us at Christmas of this roadtrip, I messaged her and was like hey, we are road tripping out your way in June and I want to meet you!!!!!!! I'm happy we finally got to meet in person, after several years of being internet friends!!! Thank you again Heather for dinner and meeting up with us! :)

We met up with my breastie at an amazing restaurant called Broderick Roadhouse, it's in the Western Part of Sacramento! After a nice dinner and great chat we headed just a few minutes down the road to our RV park for the night called SacWest! It was a nice, quiet and safe place to park for the night before we continued our roadtrip the next day to Coursegold! The next morning we noticed some kids riding around on these pedal carts and immediately DC said, I want to do that pretty please!! With those kind of manners, we couldn't say no! He had a great time with mama, then daddy! After we got some nice hot showers we hit the road.
